Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal and business information NamSignal collects, why it is used, how it is protected and the choices available to you.

NamSignal respects your privacy and aims to collect only information reasonably required to operate and improve the service.

Depending on how you use the service, NamSignal may collect:

Account information

• name
• email address
• mobile number, if you provide it
• authentication and account identifiers
• account status.

Business information

• business name and business profile information
• sectors, services and products
• regions
• opportunity preferences and selected opportunity types.

Subscription information

• current plan
• trial status and trial dates
• subscription state.

Production online payments are not yet connected, and NamSignal does not currently collect card or other payment credentials. If a payment provider is introduced, this policy will be updated to describe it.

Platform activity

• saved opportunities
• Signal matches
• alert records
• service-selection state
• onboarding status
• account preferences.

Technical and security information

Information reasonably required for authentication, session management, security, error handling, system operation and abuse prevention. NamSignal does not currently use advertising or marketing trackers.

Communications

Information you voluntarily supply when you contact NamSignal for support, feedback or other assistance.

NamSignal may use information to:

• create and authenticate accounts;
• maintain business profiles;
• match businesses to opportunities and calculate Signal Scores;
• generate alerts;
• operate subscriptions and trials;
• save your preferences;
• provide account-data export and deletion features;
• secure the platform, diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse;
• support users;
• improve NamSignal.

NamSignal uses your business's selected active services and other relevant profile criteria to calculate opportunity matches. Inactive saved services do not participate in current matching.

Matching is automated decision-support functionality and does not determine procurement eligibility or outcomes.

NamSignal does not sell your personal information to advertisers.

Information may be processed by technical service providers necessary to operate NamSignal, such as providers supporting hosting, database services, authentication, application infrastructure, and email infrastructure where enabled. Only information reasonably required to provide those services is shared.

NamSignal may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with lawful requirements or to protect the security and integrity of the platform.

NamSignal links to third-party websites and documents belonging to issuing organisations. Those third parties operate independently and may have their own privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not govern external websites.

NamSignal uses third-party infrastructure to operate the platform. Depending on the infrastructure used by those providers, information may be processed or stored using systems located outside Namibia.

NamSignal uses technical and organisational controls intended to protect account and business information. Current controls include authenticated access, role-based permissions and database access controls.

No internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

NamSignal retains account and business information while reasonably required to provide the service.

When you delete your account, subscriber-private information is removed according to the application's deletion process. Certain limited subscription or accounting history may be retained where reasonably required for business records, system integrity or legitimate recordkeeping. Retained historical records do not restore access to a deleted account.

You can manage appropriate information through your account, including:

• viewing and updating profile information;
• managing saved and active services;
• managing preferences;
• Download My Data;
• Delete My Account.

You may delete your account from your account settings. Deletion removes your sign-in access and subscriber-private information according to the platform's deletion process.

Shared opportunity and source records are not deleted when an individual subscriber deletes their account.

NamSignal uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in, maintain your session securely and remember necessary preferences. NamSignal does not use advertising or marketing cookies.

If analytics or marketing tools are introduced later, this Privacy Policy will be updated before they are relied on.

NamSignal is a business-oriented platform and is not intended for use by children. Accounts should be created by persons legally able to use the service on behalf of themselves or a business.

NamSignal may update this Privacy Policy as the service develops or its data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated appropriately.
